wow...over a year...

I guess I've been more interested in FaceBook than I have been in LJ. I don't really do much on FB...just play games mostly, but it helps me unwind. I feel like I have no time to myself anymore between working two jobs, dealing with my parents and Nick living here.

I honestly have nothing to write...or, I just don't know how to write anymore. Oh well, we'll see what comes of this. Maybe I'll start writing more.

Broadway!!

Yesterday, I went to NYC with my friend Monalisa (yes that is her real name). She had won two tickets to see The Lion King on Broadway, and invited me to go with her. I (obviously) said yes. How could I pass up a free Broadway show?!

Anyway, we decided to take the train, because who wants to drive in to NYC? That drive is super brutal. So, we met at the train station at 9:15 and caught the 9:45 to Penn Station. Monalisa is a mother of two, so of course she was loaded down with snacks. However, the mom wonder was wearing high-heeled boots and hadn't brought a jacket. We arrieved at Penn Station and proceeded to walk towards Broadway. On the way, Monalisa's feet and legs really started to bother her because of the stupid boots. So, I thought that maybe we could walk to a shoe store and find her something. But, before we made it, she started to walk like someone's grandma. I knew she was in pain, and we have the same shoe size, so I told her to trade shoes with me. So, there in the middle of the sidewalk, I gave her my super cute comfy Sketchers and put on her horrible boots. We made it to Times square and decided to grab some lunch. Afterwards, we were on the hunt for shoes. We found a Sketcher's store and found her a pair of cute shoes on clearance and I bought a hoodie.

With comfy shoes strapped to Monalisa's feet, we were ready to continue on our journey. We had coupon's for Madame Tussaud's wax museaum, so we went. Nothing beats creepy-ass wax figures of prominent celebrities. We have pics of each other with the Jonas Brothers, Johnny Cash, Hannah Montana and N*Sync. And a bunch of others. Afterwards, we did some shopping. We went to the Virgin Megastore...which is closing in a few days :( And, we also stopped at Midtown Comics. If you are any type of comic book nerd (Manga too) you totally need to stop at Midtown Comics the next time you're in the city. I didn't buy anything there, but I love just going in. If I had had a hundred bucks or so to blow in there...well, make it 1000, cuz I could buy sooo much.

At that point, we were ready to head over to the theater. When we got there, we felt the excitement start to build. When we were shown to our seats, we could not believe it. FRONT ROW! We were practically on stage we were so close! Then the play started and I just about lost my goddamn mind. It was insane! It was such a good play I can barely describe how good it was, how great it was! Well, it didn't last nearly long enough. And then, it was time to go home...to leave to city behind.

I love New York City. I wish we could have stayed longer, but all good things must come to an end. So, we hopped on the train and headed home. All I could think on the way home was, "I can't wait to go back."

Funny Stuff

I'm watching Dane Cook's Vicious Circle and it is so freakin' hysterical! I'm seriously dying over here. Anybody still around. It seems the only pulse on LJ is beating in my other journal. I am sorry I haven't been keeping up here. I'll try to be better, promise!

Nothing to say...

but I'll write anyway.

I've had the most horrible heartburn all day and it sucks! I'm in so much pain it's not even funny. I have a feeling that it's stress from the interveiw process for this job I'm trying to get. Seeing as how I don't think it was anything I ate, and I have no other stress... Well, not really anyway. Provided you don't count my parents (HA!)

But yeah, I suppose that's all I have to say.

That and OW!

My e-Bay

Anybody a hardcore e-Bay-er? Or know anyone who is? Cuz I just started my e-Bay store and I would absolutely love it if people would check it out :)

Here's the link: http://myworld.ebay.com/howlers_cove

Thanks!!!

Oooh, Boy! Am I having fun or what?!

So, I'm in a community called 100_snapshots, and I love it! I'm pasting a link to my memories so anyone interested can see what I've done in there so far. It really is a blast, and anyone interested in photography should consider joining.

My Memories

I'm learning to type...

And it actually hasn't been so bad. It's about time I learned since it is a really marketable skill. However, I type really really slowly. Just these few lines have taken almost five minutes lol! So, yeah, wish me luck!!!!

Jan. 11th, 2008

Well, so much for my "need to start blogging more"... I suppose I've never been very good at keeping up with this thing. But, that's ok...I guess. I really have nothing good to say.

It's been a month since I've written in here, and nothing really exciting has happened. I had a great Christmas at my uncle's house playing Pictionary with my sister, her husband, Alex and my cousins. My cousins and I kicked ass, by the way! Hahaha! Anyway, it rocked.

New years eve, Alex and I went to Natalie and Brian's. It was super awesome. Brian's brother David came too. So, there were only 5 of us there, and enough food to feed 30 lol! But it seriously ruled, we had a great time.

And, so far, 2008 has been pretty ok. Alex and I are doing well, except for the arguing...sheesh! But people argue, and it doesn't keep me from loving him. I feel like the worst girlfriend sometimes. I know he wants the same thing from this relationship as I do, so I'm happy to keep working through the problems we occasionaly have.

Here we go again

I need to start blogging more. I've been writing in my paper journal a lot, but it's stuff I could be writing in here. Really, the paper journal is more for stuff that I feel I can't say to most people...or that I think isn't appropriate for a general audience. Anyway...

My mother has been making me insane all day. I can't help that I'm a realatively popular girl. I've been getting phone calls all day, and is it my fault if I miss my best friend from college?? Jenn and I hadn't talked in nearly 4 months until yesterday. So when she called today, I certainly wasn't going to tell her I couldn't talk to her. Then mom starts to wig out because we had plans or something. Let me just say that we didn't have plans. She hadn't talked to me about anything. But then we end up having this insane arguement about how I never listen and she never talks. In truth, I am listening, I just can't remember anything that people say...also, Alex insists that I'm going deaf, so maybe she thinks I hear her, but I can't. Truly, I believe that mom never says anything to me in the first place. I think she's one of those people who thinks about saying something so much she actually thinks she says it. Ah, well, she and I barely get along as it is, so it's not like todays events were surprising.
